Do you buy used appliances? No. We have a commercial account that supplies us with more appliances than we need, so there is no money left to buy from the general public.
Do you know anybody that buys used appliances? No. You can look in the Greensheet under "Appliances", put an ad on craigslist, or take them to a scrap yard for recycling. All of these options are profitable. If you are just wanting to dispose of an old appliance, we will accept them for parts or recylcing.
Will you come pick up my old appliance? No. We don't have the manpower necessary to run all over town picking up appliances. If you can get them to us, we will accept them for parts or recycling.
I bought a washer/dryer/refrigerator from you, and now it's not working. What do I do? Find your receipt and give us a call. If the appliance is still under warranty, we will either schedule a service appointment or ask you to come in to our store with your receipt to pick out a replacement appliance. Appliances that were picked up at the time of purchase, or have been taken out of our normal service area can only be serviced in-shop. All in-home warranty service calls will be charged a trip fee of $53.62. You can always bring the appliance in for service, free of charge.
Help! I lost my receipt! Go back and look again. WE DO NOT HONOR ANY WARRANTY WITHOUT A RECEIPT. It is your responsibility to keep your receipt! Put it in a plastic bag and tape it to the appliance, that way it's always there when you need it, even if you move.
But don't you keep copies of receipts? Yes, but strictly for tax purposes. They are not easily accessible. It is standard business practice to require a receipt or proof of purchase for warranty repairs. Please do not ask us to try and find a copy of your receipt. We can make extra copies of the receipt for you at time of purchase if requested.
Why am I being charged $53.62 for a warranty service call? Our warranty covers parts and labor only. If your appliance was delivered and setup by our technicians, we will come to your house to fix or replace it within the first 90 days from the original date of purchase at no charge. After 90 days, a trip fee of $53.62 will be charged. Keep in mind that almost all brand new appliances only have a one year warranty from the manufacturer. Ours is 3 years. To avoid this cost, you can always bring your appliance to us for repair or replacement.
